about us

Welcome to Lighthouse Finance, a boutique accounting, tax and advisory firm. Founded in Amsterdam in 2016 by Simon Van Wyk, a chartered accountant with global practice and industry experience, we expanded into the UK in 2020 to meet the growing needs of our UK clients with presence in both the EU and the UK. Our client base is predominantly based in the Netherlands and UK, but we do service clients in Switzerland, Germany, South Africa, Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong as well.

We provide a one-stop shop for our clients across the full spectrum of finance, tax and other compliance related matters. Whether you’re looking for a simple tax return or complex executive strategy and advisory services, we’re able to assist through our pioneering model that combines in-house expertise with a network of subject matter experts around the world. Our small team ensures that your needs are met, exposures are covered, and at a fraction of the cost you’d otherwise incur on hiring in additional staff.

If the above sounds interesting, read on and have a look at the services we offer, who we are, or simply reach out and contact us directly for a no-fee no-obligation initial conversation about your plans, needs and wants.

head of payroll & mobility

Annemiek was first introduced to payroll whilst working as an consultant (intercedent) at an employment agency. It inspired her to enroll in a PDL course and she has worked as a payroll professional ever since. She has experience in both the corporate and private sectors and holds a VPS certification. At the office she is happiest when she can collaborate with and assist clients and colleagues to reaching their goals. As a human, she loves being creative and social. She is imaginative and curious, aways on the lookout for a new hobby! She loves travelling, most recently having spent a year on a globe-trotting sabbatical with her partner Joep.

our core
values

At the heart of Lighthouse Finance are our core values – Integrity, Transparency, and Flexibility. These values infuse and inform everything we do when it comes to our relationship with our clients.

integrity

We won’t recommend solutions that we don’t genuinely believe you need, even where that means we forgo additional revenue. We will only recommend partners that we have absolute trust in and a proven track record of delivery. We will always act with your best interests at heart.

transparency

We will provide you with full insight into the composition of our fee quote, so you know exactly what you are paying for, and can obtain comfort that you are not paying for unnecessary add-ons that don’t create value for you. Once the scope is agreed, your fee is fixed. We will never undertake any out-of-scope work without your prior written agreement for both the scope of work and the fee to be charged.

flexibility

We do not work on a subscription model. You are free to change scope or even service provider should you wish to do so, without penalty.
